VOLUNTEER
BECOME AN AUXILIARY MEMBER
Established in 1970, the Thomas L. Young Auxiliary of Southeast Louisiana Hospital is a volunteer operated nonprofit organization. The Auxiliary has a rich history of contributing to the comfort and well-being of children, adolescents and adults receiving services from SELH.
Auxiliary members manage the gift shop and clothing room at the hospital. They are also responsible for administering fundraising activities like the annual Great Wake Up Race which makes it possible for the group to finance projects and programs which are not funded through SELH budget appropriations.
Members of the Auxiliary are an exceptional group of volunteers. They meet once a month to discuss routine business and review financial requests submitted by hospital program coordinators.
