Come join us for the 13th Annual Great Wake Up Race to help the Thomas L. Young Auxiliary "wake up the public" to the needs and challenges of people with mental illness. The 5K/1 mile walk/run is a family-oriented event with over 250 participants annually. One hundred percent (100%) of the event proceeds directly benefit the individuals served at Southeast Louisiana Hospital. The Auxiliary helps to meet the clients' needs, which can range from clothing to more ambitious projects, when the state cannot provide those resources. The main fundraising objective of this year is to create, refurbish and maintain recreational facilities on the hospital grounds encouraging physical health and outdoor activity.
